Teixeira Park was on fire today. The dozen or so Malus 'Prariefire' trees were in full bloom along the sidewalk in the park. 'Prariefire' was chosen for it beautiful pinkish red flowers in May, but more importantly the dark red fruit which attract birds in the fall.
