Not many people know about it. A secret garden of sorts.<br />pvepve designhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03527745630303158002noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4067804781629732627.post-72972573462905198512010-05-20T03:01:19.346-07:002010-05-20T03:01:19.346-07:00pve,

The dahlias and tender crocosmias are kept dormant in the cool dark part of the basement. One of the volunteers has a 3 season room and overwinters a tender yucca that is the centerpiece of the granite planter. Some indispensable annuals like Browallia americana and Verbena bonariensis we get in 6 packs each year. Alice and Brian McGowan's book Bulbs in the Basement and Geraniums on the Windowsill and Hot Plants for Cool Climates by Susan Roth and Dennis Schrader are 2 good sources of information about overwintering tender plants.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14771120380247636617noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4067804781629732627.post-52142892124226972682010-05-10T04:01:39.146-07:002010-05-10T04:01:39.146-07:00Love those colors (tulipa, granite, boxwood).
